Srinagar, September 2: Jammu and Kashmir Police organised a Capacity Building and Mission Development Officer (MDO) Orientation Workshop under Mission Karmayogi at Police Headquarters (PHQ), Srinagar, on Wednesday.
An officials spokesperson said the workshop was inaugurated by Mubassir Latifi, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Personnel), PHQ, who highlighted the significance of Mission Karmayogi in fostering a culture of continuous learning, capacity building and professional excellence within the police force.
He said the workshop was organised for representatives of 13 wings and training institutions of Jammu & Kashmir Police.
On the occasion Latifi emphasised the importance of leveraging digital learning platforms to strengthen institutional capabilities and enhance service delivery.
Earlier, Manoj Kumar Pandita, JKPS, Assistant Inspector General of Police (Training & Policy), PHQ, delivered the introductory remarks and outlined the objectives of the workshop.
The programme focused on orienting Mission Development Officers on the effective management and utilisation of the iGOT Karmayogi platform, with special emphasis on improving user engagement, learning participation and course completion. Participants were also sensitised to the development of competency-based training interventions tailored to the requirements of different functional divisions and levels within the organisation.
An important session on the preparation of Capacity Building Plans (CBPs) using iGOT AI was conducted by Mr. Uzair Simnani, Programme Coordinator, Capacity Building Commission. This was followed by a demonstration of the iGOT Karmayogi platform and an interactive question-and-answer session led by Ms. Oshin Prem, Assistant Manager, Karmayogi Bharat.
The workshop highlighted the role of competency-driven learning in strengthening institutional performance and underscored the need for integrating digital learning tools into existing training frameworks. It was emphasised that training institutions under J&K Police would progressively align and blend their existing training programmes with the iGOT Karmayogi platform to promote continuous, competency-based professional development.
The workshop concluded with a shared commitment to advancing the objectives of Mission Karmayogi and strengthening the capacity-building ecosystem within Jammu & Kashmir Police. (PIB)
