Jharkhand Govt Invites Protesting JPSC-JSSC Students for Fresh Talks

Ranchi, Aug 13: The Jharkhand government has invited students protesting against alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment examinations for fresh talks today at 2 PM, in another attempt to resolve the ongoing standoff through dialogue.

The protesting students on Thursday intensified their agitation in Ranchi, burning effigies of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

They also raised slogans against the state government and reiterated their demand for cancellation of the JPSC and JSSC examinations, alleging irregularities in the recruitment process.

The protesters have announced plans to gherao the Chief Minister’s residence on August 20 as part of their agitation.

Meanwhile, the state government has made another attempt to engage with the protesters and address their concerns through dialogue.

The protesting students have been invited for a meeting with government representatives today at 2 PM.

The talks are expected to focus on the students’ allegations regarding the recruitment examinations and their demand for corrective action.
