Awantipora, May 12: The iFactory C4i4 Lab, Islamic University of Science and Technology conducted a five-day intensive training programme titled “i4-Dive In Training Programme” for students of the Mechanic Motor Vehicle trade from Government Industrial Training Institute Tral.
The programme blended expert lectures with hands-on practical sessions aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of emerging manufacturing technologies and Industry 4.0 practices. The training focused on skill-based learning, innovation-oriented activities, and practical exposure to advanced industrial technologies.
As part of the programme, participants received hands-on training on collaborative robots (cobots) and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), enabling them to gain industry-relevant competencies aligned with contemporary manufacturing ecosystems.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Mohd Junaid Mir, Coordinator, iFactory Lab, IUST, who emphasized the significance of such initiatives in strengthening technical education and preparing the local workforce to meet evolving technological and industrial requirements.
