Awantipora, May 12: Continuing the ongoing drive under Nasha Mukht Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, checking of medical shops was conducted in the area to ensure compliance with rules and regulations related to the sale of medicines.
During the inspection, one medical shop namely M/s Haroon Pharmacy at Reshipora, Prop: Nazir Ahmad Lone, was sealed by the Drug Department along with Police Awantipora for violations detected during the inspection.
Meanwhile, Police also conducted Narco Raids in Pampore. Search operations were carried out in several suspected houses as part of the sustained efforts to curb drug trafficking and eradicate the menace of narcotics from society.
The drives were conducted to maintain strict vigil against illegal drug activities and to strengthen the mission of a drug-free society under the Nasha Mukht Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan.
