ICA Opens First Branch in Srinagar to Boost Job-Oriented Skills for Kashmiri Youth

Srinagar, February 26: In a major push for skill-based education in Kashmir, the Institute of Computer Accountants (ICA) has inaugurated its first branch in Hazuri Bagh, Srinagar. The launch marks a significant milestone in ICA’s mission to equip local youth with industry-relevant skills in computerized accounting, finance, and taxation.
The inauguration ceremony was led by MLA Zadibal, Jinab Tanvir Sadiq, as the Chief Guest, who officially inaugurated the new center. The event also saw the presence of Guest of Honor Dr. Touseef Ahmed, Mr. Mehran Khan, and ICA’s Central Director, Mr. Ishtiyaq Ahmed Wani, who emphasized the growing importance of skill development in today’s competitive job market.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Touseef Ahmed highlighted the rising unemployment challenges in Kashmir and the urgent need for practical training programs. “Kashmir’s youth have immense potential, but they need the right skills and opportunities to succeed. ICA is committed to bridging this gap by providing high-quality, job-oriented courses that prepare students for real-world careers,” he stated.
The new ICA branch in Hazuri Bagh is equipped with modern facilities and offers a comprehensive curriculum covering Tally, GST, accounting, finance, income tax, and basic computer applications. With a focus on hands-on training and industry-aligned courses, ICA aims to empower students with the expertise needed to secure stable employment and contribute to the region’s economic growth.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks to the esteemed guests, reaffirming ICA’s dedication to fostering education and employment opportunities for Kashmiri youth.
