Srinagar, June 19: The Jammu and Kashmir government has clarified that it remains committed to the early resumption of Gondola services in Gulmarg amid recent claims circulating on social media regarding the operation of the cable car facility.
In a statement, officials said that following the events of May 25, 2026, all necessary measures are being undertaken in coordination with the concerned agencies to restore Gondola operations at the earliest.
The government stated that the safety and security of tourists remain its foremost priority and that services will resume only after all required safeguards and security measures are fully put in place.
Officials urged the public not to pay heed to unverified information circulating on social media and assured that updates regarding the resumption of services will be communicated through official channels.
The administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe and secure experience for visitors while facilitating the early restoration of one of Kashmir’s most popular tourist attractions.
