Hajin, Sep 1: Government Degree College (GDC) Hajin conducted a cyber awareness programme to sensitise students about the growing risks of cyber fraud, online scams and other digital threats.
The programme was organised as part of the Cyber First Responder/Master Trainer and Cyber Awareness-cum-Hygiene Programme being implemented across Jammu and Kashmir.
During the session, students were provided practical guidance on protecting personal information, identifying fraudulent activities, creating strong passwords and reporting cyber incidents. The programme also stressed the importance of responsible and safe online behaviour.
The initiative was conducted in compliance with the District Administration Bandipora and in collaboration with I3C, IIT Jammu, CyberPeace and the Reform and Rehabilitation Foundation (RRF), with support from Google.org.
The organisers said that increasing cyber awareness among students can help build a safer and more secure digital society.
