DC Bandipora Reviews CSR Works, Discusses Environmental Management Plan

Bandipora, April 25: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib Saturday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the status of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities for 2025–26 and to deliberate on the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) in the district.

         During the meeting, the DC reviewed the status of ongoing and completed CSR works and directed concerned departments to ensure timely execution and completion of all projects. Emphasis was laid on expediting procurement processes, strengthening inter-departmental coordination, and adhering to prescribed timelines.

         The meeting also discussed sector-wise progress under health, Education, Agriculture, infrastructure, and other developmental components supported through CSR. Officers briefed the chair about the status of various works, including those under execution and in the pipeline. The DC directed that any bottlenecks be addressed promptly to ensure smooth implementation.

         While reviewing upcoming plans, the DC directed departments to prepare and submit Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) well in time to facilitate early approvals and execution. She reiterated the administration’s commitment to prioritizing public welfare and addressing the needs of the people through effective utilization of available resources.

         On the Environmental Management Plan, the DC stressed the importance of adopting a systematic and sustainable approach towards environmental conservation. She highlighted the need for proper ground verification of proposed works and called for focused interventions in key thematic areas such as water conservation and rainwater harvesting.

         The DC further directed concerned departments to finalize reports within stipulated timelines and emphasized the need for professional inputs to ensure scientific planning and effective implementation.

         Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Bandipora, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineers of PHE and R&B besides officers of NHPC.
