Bandipora, Jan 31: Deputy Commissioner of Bandipora has introduced a unique initiative to improve punctuality among government officials at the Mini Secretariat by closing the gates of the office at 10:30 AM, allowing authorities to identify individuals arriving late.

Deputy Commissioner Shakeel ul Rehman said this move is intended to instil a sense of punctuality among employees and enhance overall productivity in delivering public services. He said that the visual cue of closed gates will serve as a reminder for all staff members to adhere to their designated work hours.

The primary goal of this measure is to create a disciplined work environment which will ultimately benefit the public by improving the efficiency of service delivery. By elevating the standard of administrative practices, the administration aims to emphasise the importance of punctuality as a key element in effective governance, he added.

He said that as employees adapt to this new practice, it is anticipated that it will contribute to a more organised and time-conscious work atmosphere.
