Bandipora, February 11: A police personnel was killed while four other security forces personnel were injured in a grenade attack by militants on a security forces deployment in Bandipora town on Friday.
The slain cop has been identified as Zubair Ahmad Shah S/O Ab Rashid Shah of Papchan Bandipora.
Two critically injured cops including Rayees Ahmad and a BSF personnel have been shifted Army's base hospital in Srinagar.
Reports said at about 4:50pm militants hurled grenade on a naka at Eidgah Bandipora near Nishat Park that left one Policemen dead and four police personal injured. More forces rushed to the spot and entire area has been cordoned off to trace the militants.
