BANDIPORA, APRIL 24: Caravan International on Friday organised a health camp in collaboration with Haya Hospital at Faiz-e-Aam Secondary School in Bandipora, aimed at providing medical assistance and health awareness to orphans and widows in the district.

According to organisers, the camp focused on delivering basic healthcare services to vulnerable sections, including medical check-ups and awareness sessions. Local residents, including beneficiaries, participated in the programme, which was held as part of the organisation’s ongoing welfare initiatives.

Caravan International, established in 2010, operates as an educational and charitable project working for underprivileged communities. The organisation has expanded its activities across multiple regions and is currently active in 11 states across India.

Officials associated with the organisation said it has supported more than 3,000 orphans and over 1,500 widows by providing educational assistance, healthcare services and other forms of support. The NGO also facilitates access to basic necessities such as food, school uniforms and essential supplies through structured programmes.

The organisers stated that the health camp forms part of a broader effort to address healthcare gaps among disadvantaged groups, particularly those with limited access to medical facilities. Awareness sessions conducted during the camp focused on general health, hygiene and preventive care.

Participants and local residents acknowledged the initiative, noting its role in extending healthcare support to underserved sections of society in the area. Organisers said similar programmes would continue in other locations as part of their outreach activities.
