BMS Guzerbal Hosts Cross Country Run Under Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan

Bandipora, April 16: A cross country run was organised at Government Boys Middle School (BMS) Guzerbal under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan to promote awareness about drug abuse and encourage a healthy lifestyle among students and the local community.

The event was conducted under the supervision of the Headmaster of BMS Guzerbal and witnessed participation from students, school staff and local youth.

Officials said the run aimed to highlight the harmful effects of drug abuse while promoting physical fitness, discipline and positive engagement among the younger generation.

The programme was attended by Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Principal Higher Secondary School (HSS) Mantrigam, Incharge Activities Youth Services and Sports Bandipora, and Zonal Education Officer Quilmuqam, among other guests.

Speakers on the occasion highlighted the role of awareness activities in addressing substance abuse and stressed the importance of adopting a healthy and active lifestyle.

Participants ran across the designated route as part of the awareness drive, with organisers stating that such initiatives are aimed at community engagement and youth mobilisation under the ongoing anti-drug campaign.

The event concluded with a message encouraging participants to stay away from drugs and contribute towards building a responsible society.

The programme was organised under the Cultural Education Wing of Zone Quilmuqam.
