Authorities Demolish House of Alleged Drug Peddler Couple in Anantnag

Anantnag, May 16: A joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and district administration on Saturday demolished the residential house of a husband-wife duo accused in multiple narcotics-related cases in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Officials identified the accused as Nafeez Ahmad Dar, son of Mohd Ramzan Dar, and his wife Rukiya Jan, residents of Brazloo Jagir.

According to officials, the duo was allegedly involved in multiple cases registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The demolition operation was carried out jointly by police and civil administration authorities as part of an intensified campaign targeting narcotics networks and alleged proceeds linked to drug trafficking.

Officials said the property was demolished in accordance with legal procedures after being identified during the course of investigation and enforcement action.

The operation was conducted amid security arrangements and in the presence of officials from the Revenue Department and police authorities.

Authorities said the action was intended to send a strong message against narcotics-related activities and individuals allegedly involved in drug peddling.

No law and order issue was reported during the operation.
