Bandipora, December 25: The 13th Battalion of Rashtriya Riffles on Friday organised an Art workshop in collabaration with the Sigma Art Gallery at Shahgund, Hajin, Ajas, Aragam and SK Bala in which the Army has endeavoured to reach out to the general population of different age category, in the valley.
An official said that the motive was to flare up the artistic skills hidden in these regions of Kashmir and to tap the young talents that can become framework of modern art and culture that will redefine the heritage and culture of this region.
Around thousand contestants have participated in the event on the occasion of Christmas eve making it a huge success and giving hope to the future of Indian Art, he said.
Army complimented the Artist Inderjeet, Founder CEO, Sigma Art Gallery,Delhi and Vinita Sharma, Event Organizer for having beautiful insight in bringing this initiative to remote areas & upper reaches of Bandipora district and giving these young buds equal opportunity to evolve into capable artists.
