Army Commander stresses vigilance along LoC

Jammu, Oct 06: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Army’s Northern Command, on Tuesday visited the border district of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir to review the security situation and operational preparedness.

According to a post by the Udhampur-based Northern Command on X, Lt Gen Sharma visited the Kalakot and Rajouri sectors, where he was briefed on key operational aspects, including vigilance, training, synergy and innovative practices adopted to maintain a dominant posture for robust security along the Line of Control and in the hinterland.

Interacting with the troops, the Army Commander commended their professionalism and devotion to duty. He stressed the need for troops to remain resolute, vigilant and fully prepared to thwart any misadventure by the adversary, the Army said.

The visit comes amid continued infiltration attempts and ceasefire violations along the LoC.
