Terrorist Hideout Busted in Bandipora, Arms Ammo Recovered

Bandipora, Feb 27: Security forces in north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Tuesday claimed to have busted an old terrorist hideout in Ayathmullah village.

An official said that in a joint operation of Jammu and Kashmir Police, 14RR of Indian Army and 3rd Bn CRPF based on specific input a militant hideout was busted in the orchards of the general area of Ayathmullah village. 

He said that in the hideout arms and ammunition including 01 UBGL grenade launcher, 7 UBGL grenades, 95 rounds of ammunition, one bag besides some of the old and rusted items were recovered

In this regard a case under relevant sections of laws has been registered and further investigation has been taken up.

“In a joint operation of District Police, Bandipora,14RR(Indian Army) and 3rd Bn CRPF based on specific input a terrorist hideout was busted in the orchards of general area Ayathmullah Bandipora.The following items were recovered. UBGL/Grenade Launcher, 7 UBGL Grenades, 95 rounds of ammunition, One Bag and Some of the items are old and rusted,” the Bandipora Police said in a tweet.
