DLSA Bandipora Holds Lok Adalat on Consumer Cases

Bandipora, Feb 24: The District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district organised a Lok Adalat focused on consumer cases.

Supervised by Amit Sharma, Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority and Principal District and Sessions Judge, Bandipora, and guided by Nusrat Ali Hakak, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Bandipora, the Lok Adalat aimed to address consumer grievances effectively.

A single bench, comprising Presiding Officer Mohammad Waseem Mirza, Munsiff/JMIC Bandipora, and Member Shafeeq Ahmad Bhat, Advocate, was constituted for the Lok Adalat. 

A total of 160 cases were taken up during the proceedings, resulting in the settlement of 5 cases and the realisation of an amount totaling Rs. 20,515.
