2 young students suffocate to death in Bandipora

Bandipora, Feb 21: In a silence of an intervening night of Wednesday a pall of gloom falls after a toxic fumes from coal brazier, became a cause of a two brother in a religious seminary at Darul-uloom Faiz-ul-uloom Ashtangoo village of Bandipora. 

The incident resulted the loss of two precious lives, who was already living a life without her mother. As the sun rose in the morning, it not only revealed a day in the area but put the whole area of Ashtangoo in a shock after the news of two deaths spread there. The father of the two is also in a grievous battle in between life and death.

Reports reached the incident occurred on an intervening night of Wednesday, after the father of two childrens who was working as a cook there fell asleep after lightening a fire coal brazier in the room to protect themselves from the cold.

The officials from the religious seminary said like other days during early morning they knocked the door of Qasim Ahmad Chechi, but he did not respond which created panic in them, the teachers said after opening a window Qasim was found unconscious and both of his sons were found dead.

Soon after the incident Qasim was taken to the district hospital Bandipora, from where he was referred to SHMS Srinager for further treatment.

The deceased children have been identified as Muneer Ahmad Chechi, 10, and Tanveer Ahmad Chechi, 9, sons of Qasim Ahmad Chechi from Malangam, Bandipora.

A police team of the concerned police station soon after getting the information reached on the spot and set up the investigation of the incident and in preliminary findings suffocation as the cause of death.

A pall of gloom descended the whole area of Malangam after the dead bodies of two brothers reached their native village.

Hundreds of peoples of the area attended last rites of the two brothers and also visited the bereaved family and expressed their solidarity.

Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Apni Party Vice President Usman Majid expresses heartfelt condolences for the tragic demise of two students from a religious seminary in Ashtangoo Village of Bandipora district. The unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday, leading to their death due to suffocation

In this moment of sorrow, I extends sympathies to the families affected by this tragedy. He acknowledges the pain and grief that the community is experiencing and stands in solidarity with them during this difficult time, Majid added 

My thoughts and prayers are with the families, and i hope they find strength and support to cope with this profound loss, he remarked.
