Srinagar, Feb 20: As a part of ongoing process of educating the resident population, the Indian Army on Tuesday organised a “lecture on various welfare government schemes” at Khellani village of Doda district.
During the campaign, a teacher from Government Higher Secondary School, Khellani, shed light on various government schemes.
He educated them in detail on various schemes like PMKVY, Financial assistance for skill training, Vidya Kaushal and Skill Development for minorities etc. The initiative was undertaken to educate youth and to prevent them from being misguided, choose a healthy and progressive life and it was appreciated by the populace.
A total of 75 students attended the awareness lecture. All residents remarked that these kinds of initiatives will help to mould the young generations to make their choice in future as a responsible citizen.
