Indian Army hosts lecture on National Women’s Day in Doda

Srinagar, Feb 15: The Indian Army on Thursday organised a lecture on National Women's Day in several villages including Dharamkot, Bhala, Suigarh, Gawari, Bihota, and Gandoh. 

Harleen Kaur, speaking at the event, highlighted the significance of celebrating National Women's Day on Sarojini Naidu's birthday, honouring her contributions as the first female governor of the United Provinces.

The lecture aimed to educate the community on women empowerment, showcasing training programs offered by the Indian Army in fields like computer operations, pickle making, stitching, tailoring, and beautician courses.

 A total of 123 women attended the event, appreciating efforts to empower women and promote a progressive lifestyle.
