Bandipora, Feb 16: Department of Fisheries Bandipora organises three days sale of fishes at Pandit residential area's in collaboration with private trout fish farms.
A special fish sale was conducted by the Department of Fisheries in Bandipora on the eve of Mahashivratri festival.
According to Assistant Director Fisheries Bandipora, main purpose of the fish sale was to provide different varieties of fresh hygienic fish to consumers especially Pandit community.
Fisheries department organised special sale units in Different districts of Jammu and Kashmir to make fish available for Pandit community.
A Pandit from Kaloosa Bandipura said “Such initiatives are appreciated and we are thankful to Fisheries Department Bandipura, we also pray for peace in valley on this special occasion Maha Shivaratri.
"This initiative taken by the Fisheries Department not only provides us with employment but also creates a strong brotherhood between the two communities". Trout Farmers said.
Special sale will continue for three days in district Bandipora.
