Kupwara, March 08: International Women’s Day was celebrated at Higher secondary School Dudi ,Machhal sector under the aegis of Indian Army.
An official said the event saw enthusiastic participation by students, teachers and residents of the Dudi village which has a distinction of having a woman Sarpanch.
A number of activities and events were conducted with pomp and show. It included lectures on Women Empowerment and Importance of education among women and games for children. The response and attendance was overwhelming and enthusiastic.
More than 55 students , 5 teachers and 15 women attended the event. The event was first such activity undertaken at Dudi to connect with women/girls of Machhal sector and inspire them to dream and think big for their future.
