Indian Army celebrates National Girl Child Day at Kanzalwan

Bandipora, January 24: Indian Army on  Monday celebrated National Girl Child Day in Kanzalwan village of snowbound Gurez Valley.

In a statement issued to Kashmir Convener spokesperson said during the event, a lecture on all the Govt schemes related to girls’ education was promulgated to the girls by Mehbooba Mushtaq Lone, student of NIT Srinagar, Metallurgical and Material Engineering Department.

 Discussions on girls’ health, sanitation and hygiene along with their contribution towards a progressive Kanzalwan society were discussed during the event. “Moreover, a leaflet carrying all prominent contributions by prominent ladies of India in all fields was distributed to them”.

Local women along with girls welcomed a forum provided to them to discuss  issues related to girls and their contribution for developing and secure society. They conveyed their gratitude to the Indian Army at Kanzalwan for the gesture and promised to take forward the thought in the future.
