SRF accorded Warm Farewell to VC IUST Prof Mushtaq Siddiqi

                         Siddiqi’s Contributions to University Lauded

   Srinagar: June 04: Shah-i-Hamdan Research Foundation on Thursday   accorded a warm farewell to Prof Mushtaq Siddiqi former vice Chancellor Islamic University of Science of Technology during an impressive function held here in Srinagar.

Speakers during the event lauded the contributions of Prof  Mushtaq Siddiq to the  overall development of the university. 

A virtual function held in two sessions was organized by Shah-i-Hamdan Research Foundation in the honor of Prof Mushtaq Siddiqi. Former Vice Chancellors Prof Amitabh Matoo and Prof Sidiiq Wahid presided over the two separate sessions during the event. While Tariq Abdullah Khawar conducted the proceedings while Dr Sayed Iqbal Querishi presented the introductory speech  lauded the role of Prof Mushatq Siddiqi as an able administrator and leader. He highlighted different faces of Siddiqi’s administration.

Founder and Chairman of Shah-i-Hamdan Research Foundation Prof Hameed Naseem Rafiabadi presented the welcome address.Prof Rafiabadi during his welcome address highlighted the contribution of Prof Siddiqi. Referring to the academic life of Prof Siddiqi, Prof Rafiabadi said that he is an epitome of scientific knowledge and always tried to make IUST an abode of scientificism.

Prof Rafiaabdi termed Sidiqi a successful administrator, academician and intellectual who boosted scientific intellectualism in a traditional way.

Registrar IUST Prof Naseer Iqbal while praising Prof Siddiqi said that he took the stand of higher education of the IUST to higher standards.Iqbal lauded the role of Siddiqi as an able administrator and leader.

Dr G Q Allaqband and Prof Ayaz Hassan also praised  Prof Siddiqi’s role in developing the standards of high education in the  valley.

Among the other speakers who participated in the event include Chairman Private School Association G N War,Dr Ali Muhammad Shah,  Prof M A Shah (NIT),Dr Kanhan Negi.

Prof. AMitabh Matoo and Prof Sidiq Wahid also lauded the contribution of Prof Siddiq as an able administrator and successful vice chancellor. They commended the role of SRF  for organizing  the event.

Prof Mushtaq Siddiqi thanked all the speakers and anticipated that the works done halfway will be carried out by his successor.
