Bandipora 4 May; The Help Foundation J&K on Tuesday distributed food kits among Orphans, Widows, Poor and needy families across the district Bandipora.
In a statement issued today, officials said that the Foundation, under its Ramzan Food Distribution program distributed the relief in the form of dry ration kits among the needy and destitute families of the villages like Madwan, Malikpora, Paribal, Hajin and Naidkhai of district Bandipora.
He said the destitute families were identified by well known social and cultural activists and a dedicated volunteer of the Foundation Dr. Aadil Mohi UD Din. When contacted, the volunteer of the foundation Dr. Aadil said, ‘I feel honored to be a part of this noble campaign whereby the impoverished families of the backward villages are identified & subsequently benefitted.
“In the ongoing unrelenting Pandemic crises, this work has become ever more relevant”. He urged youth to participate in this noble cause. “This initiative has helped us to reach out to the downtrodden particularly the widows, orphans and the elderly folk who would have suffered serious consequences in the absence of such relief’’.
Officials of the organization said the beneficiaries of this initiative appreciated the efforts and hardwork of the Foundation particularly in the tough Covid 19 times. “we are highly grateful to the chairperson of this Foundation, Ms. Nighat Shafi for carrying out this noble work in such a hard time. We would have found it really difficult to see our poor families through this pandemic without their sincere support’’, said one of the beneficiaries.
The distribution was done under the supervision of Wani Nisar and Nazir Ahmad Dar both officials of the Help Foundation. Besides volunteers Molvi Showkat Ahmad, Imran Ali, Zubair Ashraf, Aaiz Ahmad and Rayees Ahmad Sheikh ,some prominent citizens were also present on the occasion that include, Mohamad Rafiq sheikh, Haji GhRasool Sheikh, Dr. Reyaz UL Hassan , Dr.Falak Fayrooz and Ali Mohammad Malla.
