Bandipora, November 01: The Bandipora Football Premier League organized by Rashtriya Rifles at Sk Stadium Bandipora concluded this weekend with Iqra-A lifting the title.
An official spokesperson said Bandipora RR under the aegis of Watlab Sector organized the Bandipora Football Premier League at Sher-e-Kashmir stadium amid the presence of thousands of spectators. “Forty teams from various parts of Bandipora district participated in the tournament with great zeal and enthusiasm”.
The final match of the tournament was played between the teams SFCA and Iqra A and was won by Iqra A team by 1-0.
Col Pranav Joshi, Commanding Officer, 14 Rashtriya Rifles who felicitated the winner and runner up teams. An electrifying atmosphere with a gathering of approximately 2000 filled the stadium and cheered their teams.
At the end of the tournament, the chief guest distributed prizes to the winner and runner up teams and expressed his satisfaction for active participation by the youth in sport activities, thereby bringing peace and harmony in the area.
