Bandipora Rashtriya Rifles conduct Football Premier League
Bandipora, Oct 27: The Rashtriya Rifles stationed at Bandipora under the aeis of Watlab Sector organised a Football Premier League that conclude on Sunday.
An official spokesperson said the league was organised to further enhance the bond with civil population and to give them an opportunity to showcase their sporting talent.
He said a total of 40 teams from all over Bandipora are participating in the tournament. On day one eight matches were scheduled at two venues. "All the teams displayed impeccable sportsmanship, team spirit and do or die attitude."
"The cheering of the crowd was a sight to see and it was their loud support which led to their teams putting their best effort," Statment reads.
He said the effort of Indian Army for organizing such a huge event was appreciated by one and all and it seems the tournament has already become the talk of the town.
