KU bags 3 positions of National Integration Camp at Jammu University

Srinagar, Feb 29: The University of Kashmir, won three positions in National Integration Camp (NIC) for NSS volunteers, held at University of Jammu from 22nd to 28th of February 2020. The Camp was organised by the office of the program coordinator, NSS University of Jammu and New Delhi Regional Directorate of NSS, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, New Delhi. 200 participants from Assam, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Chandigarh, Gujrat, Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana and Uttarakhand were also felicitated based on their performance on the occasion. A contingent of 33 NSS volunteers from Kashmir University participated in the camp.

The inaugural function was presided over by Shri Farooq Khan, Advisor to Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, J&K, Shri K.K Sharma, Advisor to Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor J&K was the chief Guest for the valedictory cum award distribution ceremony held on the 28th of February at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium of Jammu University. The University of Kashmir bagged three positions in categories of Group Dance, Group Singing, and best performance in Slogan Making. The team representing the University of Kashmir was based on NSS Student Volunteers from Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Government Degree College Ganderbal, SP College and students from various departments of the University of Kashmir. The team from Kashmir University was led by Dr Musavir Ahmed, Program Coordinator, NSS at the University.
