Bandipora, 30 Jan: Atleast three residential house were completely damaged in a fierce fire that erupted Plan Bandipora on Saturday morning.
Initial reports suggest that the fire erupted from one of the houses in Plan Bandipora at 4am and engulfed several houses in vicinity. Three houses belonging to Barkatullah Mir, Mushtaq Ahmad and Mohammad Akbar were completely damaged in the fire incident while several other houses were partially damaged.
It took more than three hours for the Fire and Emergency Services Bandipora to douse the fire. Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Zahoor Ahmad Mir also reached the spot and inspected the fire fighting operations.
The cause of the fire was not ascertained so far.
