Bandipora shuts to mourn killing of local Jaish Militant
All shops, business establishments closed, thin traffic ply on roads

Bandipora, August 04: A Complete shutdown was observed in North Kashmir's Bandipora Town on Sunday over the killing of a local Jaish militant.
Reports said that all shops, Private Offices, and other business establishments remained closed in the area while as thin traffic was plied on roads.
The shutdown was observed over the killing of a local Jaish militant Umer Wani, a resident of Kharpora Bandipora who was killed in a gunfight with government forces in Malpora area of Sopore on Saturday and then late evening the body of the Slain militant was handed over to his family for last rites .
Eyewitness said that hundreds of people participated in the funeral prayers at his ancestral graveyard in Bandipora on Saturday.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Slain Militant was affiliated with Jaish-e- Muhammad outfit of Militant organizations and had joined the ranks on 02 june 2019 .
