Bandipora, 14 July: A 21-year-old youth browned while taking bath in Arin Nallah of Bandipora in Surinder village on Sunday afternoon.
Witneeses said that the youth identified as Imran Ahmad Chopan S/o Abdul Rehman Chopan of Ranghama sumlar drowned at 06 pm while failing to fight fast flowing waters of Arin nallah resulting in his on-spot death.
Eye witnesses told kashmir convener that Imran along with his two more friends were taking a bath in the nallah to beat the scorching heat while they were enjoying their weekend at Pictursque Sirnder village. " As soon as Imran jumped in the nallah he got trapped in fast flowing waters resulting his death."
Later his two friends tried hard and retrieved the body within an hour.The body was taken by the police for investigation and was later handed over to his family for last rites.
