Bandipora, July 06: A-22-year old youth from Bandipora who sustained grievous injurious in a road accident in Sattani area of Udhampur district of Jammu on Thursday succumbed to his injuries at Chandigarh hospital on late evening of Friday.
An official said that a youth, identified as Sameer Ahmed Rather, son of Sonaullah Rather(22) was critically injured and his friend was also injured in an accident when they were on way to Srinagar from Jammu.
The duo were injured and driver of the car died on spot when a car and a tractor collided head-on in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district on Thursday.
However, after battling for his life the youth succumbed at the hospital on Friday late evening. After completing all the legal and medical formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his relatives for last rites.
