18 wounded as school bus overturns in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, July 03 : Atleast eighteen  passengers including students and teachers were injured after a bus they were travelling in overturns in Ganderbal.

Reports said that a bus bearing number JK15-5460 overturned in Lar  Ganderbal leaving about 18 passengers injured including students and teachers of Government Middle School Check Mantrigam Bandipora.

The students as per officials were on picnic when it rolled down and left 18 students wounded. The injured have been admitted to the District hospital Ganderbal, police said.

The injured have been identified as Aabida D/O Gh Sarwer age 13, Tasleema D/O Raveed Ahmad age 15, Sareena D/O Gulab khan age 15,  Zafreena D/O Gh Hassan age 15, Naseema D/O Shabir Gojar age 14, Arizo D/O Mohd Rafiq age 12, Saima D/O Mohmad Shareef khan age 11, Sabeena D/O Mohd Shareef Khan age 13, Sameera D/O Ali Gowher khan age 09, Teacher Mohd Yousuf S/O Mohd Abdullah Chopan age 35, Haseena Jan W/O Ab Khaliq (cook), Aabida D/O Mohd Lateef age 13, Tasleema D/O Fayaz gojer age 12, Mehnaaz Bano D/O Mohd Amin Khan age 13, Jameena Bano D/O Ab Rashid  Gojer age 14, Parveena D/O Jameel Ah Gojer age 12, Kulsoma D/O Showket khan age 13, Shabeena D/O Sarfaraz Khan Age 14.

Three injured including Kulsuma D/O Showkat Khan, Tasleema D/O Fayaz Gojer and Parveena D/O Jameel Gojer have been referred to SKIMS for specialized treatment.

Meanwhile an official spokesperson said that Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza deputed Tehsildar Sumbal to the accident spot to oversee the rescue operation and coordinate with the concerned officials. He said the ARTO Bandipora has also been directed to make arrangements to bring back the students.
