DDC Budgam reviews the department- wise activities under ongoing Back to Village programme

Budgam, June 24: District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today chaired a meeting of officers to review the implementation of Back to Village programme.
Meeting was convened with an objective of chalking out post- Back to Village follow up action plan and also to review the arrangements to be made for last phase of the Village Outreach Programme.
DDC instructed departments to make maximum coverage of beneficiaries under different schemes in the villages and make on- spot resolution of issues wherever possible and to note other grievances which need to be followed up after the culmination of the programme.
DDC sought the work done reports of multifarious activities which were executed by the departments during the programme. She further emphasized on maximum participation of department functionaries at all gram panchayats.
Ravinder Kumar, Managing Director, J&K Infrastructure Company/ SIDCO, Visiting Officer also interacted with the people of the panchayat halqa Razwan, Budgam and held deliberations on various developmental issues with people and government functionaries.
He also presided over the Gram Sabha, Women Gram Sabha, and constitution of Social Audit Committee.
Inauguration of works under MGNREGA like Shopping Complex, Fencing of grave yard, link road at Nagrad-Khah was also done by the visiting officer. Later on, he visited local institutions of ICDS, Education, and FCS&CA and inaugurated sports events in which school children, youth of the area participated.
People of the Panchayat Halqa took up various developmental issues before him for consideration and prompt resolution.
In all 84 Panchayat Halqas of Chadoora, Beerwa, Khag, Nagam, Sukhanag and Khansahib, Gram Sabha/ women gram sabhas were conducted, social audit committees were constituted. Exhibitions/ awareness camps were held in all these panchayats where visiting officers also inspected local institutions and held public interactions.
In Sonpah, Beerwa, Syed Shabir Ahmad, Deputy Director Tourism, visiting officer interacted with people and conducted mandated activities during the two day stay in the village.
