Bandipora, Mar 27: Congress on Thursday said that Narender Modi’s Jumla Raj (Rule of rhetoric) destroyed the socio-economic system of  India by introducing cosmic schemes based on lies and deceit.

Releasing its “manifesto of development and emancipation” during the press conference here in Bandipora, State Secretary and Senior Congress Leader Usman Majid said that Modi government  has failed the nation and proved ‘Jumla Raj’.

He said congress has promised 35 percent reservation of women in government jobs, generation of employment opportunities and upliftment of poor people living in below poverty line by introducing  national-level poverty eradication scheme that would grant a sum of Minimum Income Gaurantee .However there was nothing state or area specific mention in the manifesto.

The ‘Minimum Income Gaurantee Scheme’ is aimed at supporting each of the BPL families with  sufficient monthly financial assistance. Usman said that Congress will implement  all the  schemes if voted to power. “The unemployment has raised the highest limit after 1972, people face sufferings, Demonetization hit poor and GST frustrated commoners,” Usman said while hitting out Modi government.

            Highlighting the main issue to be raised in the forthcoming elections, Usman said that Congress party is committed to the development of poor and believes in practicality. “Congress will provide a minimum income to poor till they reach the satisfied level of income, women will be empowered and employment opportunities will be increased,” Usman said, adding Congress will waive off farmers loan".

Usman while highlighting the Minimum Income Guarantee Scheme said that scheme will benefit 20 percent of the poor population (over 5 Crore people),each family will get 12000 RS. "72 thousand will be deposited into the account of female head of BPL family, women will get a reservation in every field including the fields of electoral politics," He said 

            “Where is the money he promised to be deposited in bank accounts? Where goes  2 Crore Jobs he promised for unemployed youth?, everything was based on lies and deceit” Usman said.
