Advocate Nazir Malik appeals for immediate establishment of Women’s Degree College at Bandipora

Bandipora, Jan 23: North Zone Secretary National Conference Advocate Nazir Malik has expressed grave concern over the absence of Degree College for Women in Bandipora District which is causing lot of hardships to women of Bandipora.

          He urged the Governor Administration to take up the issue of establishing Degree College for women at Bandipora quickly. Advocate Nazir Malik expressed concern that successive incompetent representatives have meant that District Bandipora remains an educational backward area.

          Malik said people of Bandipora Town, Papchan, Arin, Aloosa, Ishtinagoo, Lawdoora, Nadihal, Chiteybandey, Aloosa, Binlipora. Ketsan, Athwatoo, Panar, Vewan, Bhotoo, Ahamsharif etc are put to great difficulties in absence of Degree College for women. Women have to travel hundreds of kilometers daily to Srinagar so as to study and thus impacting their health and study schedule.

"We had the Boys Higher secondary School established in Bandipora in 1940 and since then the clock of development in Bandipora has come to grinding halt. An equidistant and affordable place should be identified and Degree college for women established in Bandipora.".

          He vowed once voted to power it would be priority of National Conference to establish a Degree college for women on priority basis
