Nyoma, November 4: Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, Nitish Rajora, IAS, today chaired a meeting regarding the identification of vulnerable and accident-prone locations on PMGSY roads across the Changthang Distt .
An official spokesperson said during the meeting, discussions were held on identifying vulnerable road stretches and locations that pose potential safety risks to commuters, along with measures required to prevent road accidents.
The DC emphasised the need for proper assessment of accident-prone locations and stressed the importance of timely preventive interventions, improved road safety measures and coordination among the concerned departments.
He directed the concerned officials to identify vulnerable spots and take appropriate measures to address safety concerns and ensure safer road connectivity.
The meeting was attended by SDM Nyoma and the Block Development Officers (BDOs).
