Zainapora, October 31: A nine-year-old boy from a nomadic family died while his father sustained injuries after soil debris fell on them at Naghad Wachi in Zainapora area of south Kashmir on Saturday.
Officials identified the victims as Mohd Faiz Khari, around 40, and his nine-year-old son, Imtiyaz Ahmad Khari. Both originally hail from Rajouri and were presently staying at Naghad Wachi.
Officials said the father and son were initially shifted to Community Health Centre (CHC) Zainapora, from where they were referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag for further treatment.
However, Imtiyaz succumbed to his injuries at GMC Anantnag, while his father is undergoing treatment.
