Bandipora, October 28: District Police Bandipora conducted an Anti-Fidayeen Mock Drill at the DPL campus to assess operational preparedness, inter-agency coordination and emergency response mechanisms in a simulated attack scenario.
Personnel from SOG Bandipora, DPL Bandipora, 3rd Battalion CRPF, 14 Rashtriya Rifles and 27 Assam Rifles participated in the exercise and demonstrated coordinated response capabilities.
During the drill, four simulated terrorists were located in two under-construction buildings and neutralised as per the exercise scenario. The AST/BDS team subsequently conducted area sanitisation with the assistance of a sniffer dog to check for suspected explosive devices and other potential hazards.
The exercise also assessed medical response and casualty management, including ambulance deployment and handling of simulated casualties.
The drill concluded after the premises were thoroughly searched, sanitised and declared safe. A briefing and debriefing session was also held to review the performance of participating personnel and identify areas for further improvement.
The drill reaffirmed the commitment of District Police Bandipora and participating security agencies towards maintaining a high level of operational preparedness, strengthening inter-agency coordination, and ensuring an effective response to any security emergency.
