Awantipora, Sept 26: Police District Awantipora organised a Cyclothon under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2026–27, in connection with the celebration of the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of local youth and cycling enthusiasts. Senior police officers were present on the occasion and encouraged the participants to actively engage in sports and fitness activities.
On the occasion, cash prizes, mementoes and certificates were presented to the winners in recognition of their performance and participation. Participation certificates were also distributed among all participants. Refreshments were provided to the participants.
The event was aimed at promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, discipline, unity and community engagement among youth, while fostering a spirit of national integration and healthy living.
Police District Awantipora remains committed to promoting sports, encouraging youth participation and strengthening police public relations through various community-oriented initiatives under CAP 2026–27.
