Bandipora, Aug 23: Advocate Nazir Malik, Constituency Secretary and Zonal Secretary North Kashmir of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), on Saturday inaugurated the party’s Block Office at Arin in Bandipora, with scores of youth and prominent local citizens joining the party on the occasion.
The programme witnessed the participation of party workers, youth and members of the local community, as several new entrants expressed their faith in the policies and leadership of the National Conference.
Welcoming the new members, Advocate Malik appreciated their decision to join the party and urged them to work towards strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level while maintaining close contact with the people.
Addressing the gathering, he said the opening of the Block Office at Arin was an important step towards bringing the party closer to the public and ensuring that people’s concerns are effectively heard and addressed.
He said political work should extend beyond offices and meetings and reach every village, locality and household across Bandipora.
Calling upon party workers to remain united and dedicated, Malik said they should collectively raise the genuine voice of Bandipora and work for the dignity, development and aspirations of its people.
He also emphasised the values of truth, sincerity and perseverance in public life and appealed to the youth to play an active role in strengthening democratic institutions and contributing to the political and developmental progress of the district.
The programme concluded with party workers and new members pledging to further strengthen the JKNC organisation across the grassroots in Bandipora.
