Search Operation Enters Third Consecutive Day in River Jhelum at Panthachowk

SDRF, NDRF continue joint operation to trace Srinagar youth who reportedly jumped into river

Srinagar, July 25: The search operation to trace the body of a missing youth entered its third consecutive day in the River Jhelum at Sempora, Panthachowk, on Saturday.

The operation was jointly carried out by the SDRF Quick Response Team (QRT) Pantha Chowk, SDRF QRT Battalion Headquarters Srinagar, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
The teams are searching for the body of Sajad Ahmad Mir (25), a resident of Balhama, Srinagar, who reportedly jumped into the River Jhelum on July 23.

Rescue personnel continued intensive search efforts along the river using specialized equipment and coordinated search techniques. However, despite sustained efforts, the body had not been recovered till the filing of this report.
