KUPWARA, JULY 22: Aadil Manzoor Wani (JKAS) today assumed the charge of District Information Officer (DIO), Kupwara.
He took over the charge from Iftakhar Naseem (JKAS), who was also present on the occasion and extended his best wishes to the incoming officer for a successful tenure.
Speaking on the occasion, the DIO said that the district information setup shall be further strengthened for timely and effective dissemination of information regarding government initiatives, developmental activities and public welfare schemes among the masses.
He said that close coordination with the media fraternity and all concerned stakeholders shall remain a priority so that the benefits of government programmes reach every section of society, particularly in far-flung areas of the district.
The DIO also appreciated the services rendered by his predecessor and expressed confidence that the pace of information dissemination in the district shall be carried forward with renewed vigour.
