NHPC Inaugurates Educational Building at AGS in Gurez

Gurez, July 2: National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited’s Kishanganga Power Station Thursday inaugurated a newly constructed educational building at Army Goodwill School, located in the Army Brigade Area of Gurez.

An official spokesperson said the educational block was inaugurated by Rajesh Ranjan, General Manager (In-Charge) and Head of Kishanganga Power Station, who formally dedicated the facility by cutting the ribbon as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by senior NHPC officials, representatives of the Indian Army, civil administration, school authorities and members of the local community.

The newly constructed building is expected to strengthen the school’s educational infrastructure by providing improved classroom facilities and a better learning environment for students.

The initiative reflects NHPC’s continued commitment to promoting quality education and strengthening educational infrastructure in remote border areas through its CSR programme.

Members of the local community appreciated NHPC’s sustained contribution towards educational development and described the project as a significant step in supporting the welfare and academic growth of students in the Gurez region.
