CRPF’s 185 Bn Organises Free Health Camp in Pampore

Pampore, June 30: As part of its ongoing commitment to community welfare and public outreach, 185 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Tuesday organised a free health camp at Government Middle School, Gosainard Jeevan Sahib, a remote village in Pampore tehsil of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The health camp was conducted under the CRPF Madadgar initiative to provide accessible healthcare services to residents of remote areas while strengthening the bond between the Force and the local community.

A team of experienced doctors and medical personnel provided free medical consultations, general health check-ups, treatment and medicines to the beneficiaries.

Around 200 villagers, including men, women, children and elderly residents from Gosainard, Jeevan Sahib and adjoining areas, availed themselves of the free medical services. The camp received an encouraging response, with beneficiaries expressing gratitude for the timely healthcare assistance.

The initiative was organised as part of the Battalion’s Civic Action Programme, which aims to improve access to essential healthcare services in remote areas, promote public health and strengthen trust and cooperation between the CRPF and local communities.

The camp was organised under the guidance of Commandant Hemant of 185 Battalion CRPF. Officials said it was the sixth free health camp conducted by the Battalion during the current year.

Among those present were Dr. Vinod Tandon, Second-in-Command; Mukesh Kumar, Assistant Commandant; Mahesh Kumar, Assistant Commandant; Anuradha, Assistant Commandant; Dr. Salim Bilal, besides other officers and personnel of 185 Battalion CRPF. Local representatives also attended the programme.

Residents appreciated the humanitarian initiative and commended the Battalion for its continued efforts towards community service, public welfare and strengthening relations with the local population.
