Army Commander NC Assesses Anti-Infiltration Grid Along LoC in Kupwara

Kupwara, May 29: Northern Command Army Commander, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, visited units deployed along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Kupwara sector to assess the robustness of the anti-infiltration grid and to review the overall operational preparedness of troops deployed in the area.

During the visit, Army Commander witnessed a demonstration of innovative technologies and systems successfully integrated into field operations to enhance combat effectiveness along the LoC. The demonstration showcased the integration of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) with established Techniques, Training and Procedures (TTPs) to strengthen surveillance and operational capabilities.

Officials said the visit was aimed at reviewing the preparedness of troops operating in challenging terrain and ensuring the effectiveness of measures adopted to counter infiltration attempts and emerging security threats.

Lt Gen Sharma commended the troops for their battle-hardened resilience, indomitable courage and unwavering commitment to duty while operating in a demanding environment.

He also stressed the need for continued efforts to improve battle drills and operational skills, urging personnel to remain technically adept, mentally robust and tactically agile to effectively meet evolving security challenges along the LoC.
