Bandipora, May 15: Security forces on Thursday busted a terrorist hideout and recovered a cache of warlike stores during a joint search operation in the Khanjpathri area of Aragam in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

The operation was carried out jointly by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Central Reserve Police Force from May 14 to 15 as part of a Search and Destroy Operation.

During searches of natural caves in the area, the security forces recovered clothing, electronic items, utensils, ration, and other materials, along with warlike stores believed to have been used by suspected terrorists.

Officials said the recovery is a significant development and may help security agencies in their ongoing efforts to prevent terror activity in the region.

Further investigation is underway.
