Anantnag, May 02: In continuation of its sustained campaign against drug abuse, misuse of controlled medicines, and illegal pharmaceutical practices, Anantnag Police today conducted a joint inspection drive of various medical establishments in the Dooru area in coordination with officials of the Jammu and Kashmir Drugs Control Department.
During the inspection, the licence/operations of Sabreen Medical Agencies were suspended by the concerned authorities after serious irregularities were detected in the sale and handling of medicines during verification.
In continuation of the drive at another location in Dooru, Asraria Pharmacy was also placed under suspension after inspection revealed discrepancies between the available stock of medicines and the records maintained by the establishment.
The action forms part of the ongoing crackdown against misuse of controlled drugs, unauthorized sale of medicines, and other violations that may contribute to substance abuse and illegal narcotics networks.
