Awantipora Police Conduct Nasha Mukt Activities across District

Awantipora, April 24: Under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, a series of awareness and preventive activities were conducted across Police District Awantipora under the supervision of supervisory officers of respective areas.

A meeting was organized with Numberdars and Chowkidars of Khrew area, wherein participants were sensitized about their role in curbing drug abuse and identifying suspicious activities in their respective localities.

An awareness rally was organized at Gulzarpora (Tokuna) in collaboration with Govt. Model Higher Secondary School. Students, staff, and police officials actively participated in the rally, carrying anti-drug awareness banners and spreading awareness about the ill effects of drug abuse.

Furthermore, an awareness programme was conducted at Boys Higher Secondary School Pampore with the participation of parents, students, and teachers, emphasizing the importance of a drug-free society.

In addition, checking of chemists and druggist shops in Awantipora was carried out to ensure compliance with rules and to prevent misuse of pharmaceutical drugs.

All programmes concluded successfully with active public participation, reinforcing the commitment towards building a drug-free society.
