Bandipora, April 23: A government school building in Neeru village of Tulail area along the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez was gutted in a fire incident on Thursday evening.
Officials said that the fire broke out in the school building and spread rapidly, causing extensive damage to the structure. Despite efforts by Fire and Emergency Services personnel, along with local residents, the building could not be saved.
“The school structure was completely damaged in the incident,” officials said.
Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries were reported in the fire.
The cause of the fire could not be immediately ascertained, and further investigation is underway.
